About the Artist

Irish painter and sculptor Julie Duffy is from County Tyrone in the Northwest of Ireland. After completing a Foundation Course in Art and Design at Lancashire Polytechnic, she began a Fine Art, Sculpture and Painting Degree at Manchester Polytechnic.

A passion for horses overlapped with that of Art and after opting out of college she took an Equestrian job in Italy, focusing on an equestrian career instead.

Julie qualified as a horse riding instructor and in 1994 set up Ash Lee Riding Centre which she continues to run successfully.

It is only lately that she has returned to her other passion of sculpting and painting, after completeing the construction of an Art Studio within the Equestrian Centre.
